2015 Cleveland Browns Roster Analysis: The receivers
Marlon Moore
Age: 28
Experience: 9 years
Contract status: Free agent in 2017
As primarily a career special teamer, Moore played behind his role and showed his capability as a returner and receiver.
2015 stats:
After not recording any receptions in 2014, Moore caught seven passes including one touchdown. Moore was also used as a decent returner as a great all around special teamer.
2016 Outlook:
Moore will most likely not be Hue Jackson’s choice at receiver or returner, which limits Moore to his special team duties. Moore will have to display his value and compete for a roster spot in training camp.
Moore played many roles for the team and did a decent job of filling into many obvious holes the team has.
Darius Jennings
Age: 23
Experience 1 year
Contract status: Free agent in 2016
Jennings was undrafted rookie out of Virginia University. Jennings had a solid camp and was on the bubble, ultimately making the practice squad. Jennings was active towards the end of the season for four games where he made some plays in his limited action.
2015 stats:
Jennings finished with 14 receptions and 117 yards.
2016 Outlook:
Jennings is only 5-foot-10 and the Browns have many undersized receivers. It is hard to see where and if Jennings fits moving forward.
Jennings caught 14 passes for being active only four games and made the most of his opportunity.
Josh Gordon
Age: 24
Experience: 3 years
Gordon was suspended for the entire 2015 season. Gordon is eligible for league reinstatement and will try to rejoin the Browns this upcoming season. Gordon’s availability cannot be counted on by the Browns but would give their offense a huge boost if the former pro bowler were available in 2016.
