Round 1 (Pick No. 2): Jared Goff, Quarterback, Cal

At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Jared Goff is a little light for a quarterback this tall, but while others may be more adapted to Cleveland’s weather weather, Goff is more polished and is ready to step in and compete.

In his last two games as a Bear, he threw for more than 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns with zero picks. Plus, there is another former Cal quarterback who is doing OK in cold weather in Green Bay. With some seasoning behind Josh McCown and a serious weight room regime, Goff can turn into the quarterback the Browns so desparately need.

Round 2 (Pick No. 32): Vadal Alexander, Guard, LSU

Vadal Alexander has played in 48 of 49 career games with 45 career starts at LSU. The 6-foot-6, 340-pound Alexander made the move to right tackle in 2015 after starting at guard as a sophomore and junior. He made 11 starts at right tackle for the Tigers and led the team in total snaps played at 734.

Alexander is a versatile lineman who can play inside or out, and depending on whether or not the Browns lose Alex Mack or Mitchell Schwartz (or both), Alexander is a reliable and beefy lineman, with excellent feet and hands.
