2016 NFL Draft Range:

Late first round – Early second round

After another successful season at Ohio State, Thomas was awarded with third team All Big-Ten honors and established himself as a top-five receiver in the 2016 NFL Draft. Thomas is known for his precise route-running and excellent footwork, which enables him to make an immediate impact in the NFL.

His physical style of play and natural hands along with his ability to catch balls of a difficult degree offers NFL teams a player who can go up and get the ball in difficult situations.

Being involved with a great running game at Ohio State that featured Ezekiel Elliot, Thomas got good experience with having to block and did a decent job establishing himself as an above-average blocker also.

The former-buckeye struggles a bit with initial separation off the line and doesn’t have the best burst, so corners tend to be able to stick with him on vertical routes. He also wasn’t entirely consistent in his first season with the Buckeyes in 2012, which ultimately resulted in them red-shirting him for the 2013 season.

Thomas is actually the nephew of former No. 1 overall pick Keyshawn Johnson as well, which can only help his draft stock.
