Dawg Pound Daily’s third 2016 NFL mock draft goes through each of the seven rounds for the Cleveland Browns.

The Cleveland Browns hold 10 draft selections in the 2016 NFL draft and the team needs upgrades at multiple positions on both sides of the football. This seven-round all-Browns mock draft will sample how the Browns should approach the upcoming draft. Among the available needs quarterback remains the biggest question mark.

The Browns recently signed quarterback Robert Griffin III, but will the front office trust him to be the answer and stray away from a top prospect like Jared Goff or Carson Wentz at pick No. 2? The Browns also lack talent on the defensive side of the ball and drafting a top talent such as Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack or Joey Bosa would fill needs along the defense.

Head coach Hue Jackson and the front office is determined to rebuild through the draft, so it is crucial the team hits on their top draft choices and get players that can contribute right away. The Browns are all in on rebuilding through the draft as they let four key starters walk in free agency – Tashaun Gipson, Mitchell Schwartz, Alex Mack and Travis Benjamin – and released two defensive starters in Karlos Dansby and Donte Whitner.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Jackson talked about how his staff is approaching rebuilding the team.

“We’ll be very disciplined as we go through that because I think our future is in drafting players to our football team,” Jackson said. “The challenge will be our staff doing a really good job of making sure that we get our football players better, that we create the right environment for them to be all they can be, that we challenge them to be the best that they can be. And I’m very excited about that opportunity.”

The front office must also find players in the later rounds that can compete for positions. With so many holes and talent deficiencies the Browns can’t afford to miss on players in this draft and set the rebuild back further.

The 2016 NFL Draft opens on April 28 in Chicago, and Browns fans everywhere wait in anticipation that one of these drafts will finally pan out.
