Round 2 (Pick No. 32): Josh Doctson, Wide Receiver, TCU

The Browns receiving corps is currently one of the least talented groups in the league. While the Browns are hopeful Josh Gordon can get reinstated they simply cannot count on him to be there in 2016 and beyond. The Browns must address the receiver position early in the draft and select an instant playmaker. Josh Doctson is a big physical receiver that the Browns desperately need. Doctson didn’t blow scouts away at the combine with his forty time (4.50) but showed he has enough speed mixed with his size and leverage to get open.

Doctson’s biggest strength is his jump ball and leaping ability. Doctson is a huge red zone target and 50/50 jump balls thrown towards him become 70/30 in his advantage with his big physical athletic frame. Doctson needs to continue to develop as a route runner as TCU didn’t have him run complex routes. Doctson at worst is a second receiving option that will catch close to 80 balls a year, while providing a huge red zone presence.
