The new Browns front office is set on acquiring future draft picks to build through the draft. The organization realizes the rebuilding process will take a few years and wants to capitalize on as many high value draft picks as possible.

It would be very likely for the Browns to trade down again from No.8 into the mid teens and acquire an additional second-round pick. With the extra picks the Browns can take the best available player – wide receivers like Mississippi’s Laquon Treadwell and TCU’s Josh Doctson, or Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch could be targets – while adding players that fit certain holes on the roster.

By doing this, the Browns would have seven picks in the top 100 overall. If the Browns new regime can capitalize on these selections the Browns would have a nucleus of young talent.
