4. Jordan Matthews, Buffalo Bills, 25 years old

The next player on this list is a more traditional receiver in Jordan Matthews. The former second-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles out of Vanderbilt, he looked to be on his way towards being one of the better young wide outs in the game after a solid rookie season.

Matthews had 872 yards off 67 receptions and eight touchdowns that year. He followed it up with 997 yards of 85 catches and eight more scores in year two for Philly. Another solid year led to him becoming the favorite of quarterback Carson Wentz, but was unexpectedly traded in the preseason to the Buffalo Bills.

Vitals

Height: 6-3
Weight: 212-Pounds
Career Receptions: 250
Yardage: 2,955
Career TDs: 20

As fate would have it, the usually-durable Matthews struggled with health all year. He started just seven games, while playing in 10. Matthews pulled in a career-low 25 receptions for 282 yards and a score. Chances are he won’t return to Buffalo due to the dip in stats and their addition of fellow wide out Kelvin Benjamin at the trade deadline, but he can find a way to return to his previous form in a new home.

Matthews could also come in fairly cheap considering the season he had in Buffalo. Cleveland could give him a chance to prove he is still a reliable target. Matthews runs clean routes and has great hands. He won’t be the kind of guy to take the top off a defense, but he’s a reliable player that can move the chains.
