5. Christian Kirk, Texas A&M

Back in the early stages of the 2017 NFL season, some analysts were mocking Texas A&M’s Christian Kirk to the Browns in the first round. Although the hype has slowed down considerable, he still remains a viable option for Cleveland outside of the first round.

As of right now, Kirk ranks as the seventh-best receiver in the class (according to USA Today’s Draftwire), and most have a second or third round draft grade on him, due to his smaller statue for today’s NFL.

Throughout his 35-game college career, Kirk put up some impressive numbers for the Aggies. With 2,392 receiving yards and 21 total touchdowns. Kirk stayed a reliable target for his quarterbacks during his three seasons with Texas A&M.

Kirk’s blazing speed has caught the eyes of many NFL scouts, and he is currently projected to run a near-4.4 second 40-yard dash. Additionally, many football analysts expect him to dominate the Scouting Combine in March with his 37-inch vertical jump.

The only real problem that the Browns might have with Kirk is the fact that he feels a lot like Corey Coleman 2.0.

The similarities between Kirk and Coleman are frankly uncanny. They are the same height (5-foot-11), have incredible speed. Both will be coming off injuries for 2018, as Kirk tweaked his ankle in Texas A&M’s bowl game this season.

While a minor injury, the Browns might avoid Kirk due to Coleman still fresh in their mind. Or, maybe, they just don’t want to go back to the “speedy receiver from Texas” well too many times.
