Tyrann Mathieu

Jabrill Peppers seems to be the teams answer at strong safety, but that still leaves a hole right next to him. Enter the Honey Badger.

In a shock move, it was reported that Arizona was seeking a trade for the All-Pro, which even left Mathieu confused. There seems to have no confirmation or denial from Arizona general manager Steve Keim, which can be seen as both good news bad news.

Theoretically, however, the Cardinals are in a deep rebuild mode. They’ve got no quarterbacks and are unfortunately drafting in the middle of the draft. If they want a shot at a better prospect they need capital and trading a for a pick or two for Mathieu so they could use that to move up in the first round makes plenty of sense to me.

I hope John Dorsey has seen Jerry Maguire because he needs to call the Cardinals up and scream “Help me, help you!”

Albert Wilson

Admittedly not as sexy of a name as the previous three, but still effective. Wilson is coming off his best season with the Chiefs with 42 catches, 554 yards and 3 touchdowns coming out of the slot.

Truthfully, the team simply needs improvement at the wide receiver position, no matter who the quarterback is.

Josh Gordon makes the group better but the team will still keep their eyes on him. Corey Coleman maybe should do what Nelson Agholor did and move to the slot to revitalize his career, because he can be effective, but needs to stay healthy and has had a hard time doing so. Outside of these two, the team is desperate. Albert Wilson could come in and have career numbers in this offense.

Bard Ward also believes in a real possibility of Wilson being a Brown.

"“Look for Dorsey to make a run at Albert Wilson, a guy he had in KC who can fill that slot receiver role. They should be looking at the best WRs available…”"

This move may make the most sense of all, even if it doesn’t light Browns Twitter on fire.
