Round 2, No. 64 Overall: Darius Leonard, LB, South Carolina State

With their final pick in the second round, the Browns add depth to their linebacker corps by selecting South Carolina State’s Darius Leonard. He’s listed as 6-foot-2 and 234-pounds and was a weapon for the Bulldogs. He was able to play effectively in every facet of the game from run stuffing to pass defense and as an edge rusher.

More from Browns Draft

He racked up 113 tackles, eight sacks and two interceptions for SCSU in 2017. He’s one of the small school guys that could come to the NFL and bring big production. The Browns linebackers are pretty strong, but not too deep. Leonard is able to help in that regard with starter potential.

Round 4: Allen Lazard, WR, Iowa State

The wide receiver group for the Browns is now pretty impressive. They have Coleman, Gordon and Landry. Two of those guys aren’t completely trustworthy. Coleman has yet to stay healthy for a whole season and Gordon has just come back off a long suspension.

Here they add some depth with Iowa State’s Allen Lazard. At 6-foot-5 and 227-pounds, Lazard offers a huge body out wide that the Browns could use should they lose Gordon or Coleman for any length of time.
