Round 5: Terrell Edmunds, S, Virginia Tech

With their fifth-round pick, the Browns go for a safety in Terrell Edmunds. His brother Tremaine Edmunds played alongside him at Virginia Tech, and should be going in the top-15. As for Terrell, he’s not as highly sought after a prospect as his brother, but he was a good player nonetheless for the Hokies.

In 2016 Edmunds recorded 101 tackles and four interceptions. He followed that up by recording 61 tackles and two more picks. He spent time at both linebacker and safety and should be a great special teams player while providing a reserve safety.

Round 5: Will Clapp, G/C, LSU

The Browns offensive line is really good — provided of course that Joe Thomas returns in 2018. They brought in Brian O’Neil out of Pitt in the second in this mock to add some depth and prepare for a potential loss of Thomas. Here they add depth to the interior by taking LSU’s Will Clapp.

He’s a solid player, if not spectacular which is why he lasts until the fifth. What’s most enticing about him is the fact he played both guard and center and can offer a reserve swing player on the bench.
