While there is some debate whether or not there is any quarterback in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft worthy of the first overall pick, the Cleveland Browns owe it to themselves to take the best quarterback on their board.

While Darnold has shown issues with turnovers, he has both the physical tools and intangibles to be a franchise quarterback. With the New York Jets moving into the third spot, Cleveland can’t take the chance of passing on a quarterback with the first pick.

After picking up their future franchise quarterback with the first overall pick, the Cleveland Browns can grab arguably the best overall player in the draft. That player is of course Saquon Barkley, the dynamic running back out of Penn State.

Barkley is an elite talent that has a chance to be a superstar at the next level. If Barkley is selected with this pick, he will join an offense that features wide receivers Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, Corey Coleman, and tight end David Njoku. Add in Tyrod Taylor/Sam Darnold, under center and the Browns have an offense that will strike fear in every defense in the NFL.
