Round 1, Pick 4: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Ever since the Jets moved up to the No. 3 spot, the entire game changed for the Browns. Of course, no one really expected the Colts to stay in that spot, but just in case they did stand unmoved, everyone was mocking Bradley Chubb to Indianapolis.

Now that the Colts are “out of the way,” so to speak, that leaves room for the Browns to swoop. It looks like the Browns will either take Chubb here, or Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.

Personally, I think that the Browns will attempt to beef up their defense here. While a dynamite running back like Barkley would be nice, having Chubb along with Emmanuel Ogbah and Myles Garrett would make for one of the league’s best defensive fronts.

The Browns have started to pride themselves on their front seven over the past couple of years. With talents like Christian Kirksey, Jamie Collins, and of course Garrett and Ogbah, it’s easy to see why.

Having this trio coming for quarterbacks everywhere would be great for the Browns, and terrifying for the rest of the league. The Browns cannot pass on Chubb here, considering you can never have too many pass rushers.

The prospect of having an embarrassment of riches, at any position, is new for the Cleveland Browns. However, they could score one here by selecting the first of two Chubbs (spoiler alert!). Cleveland bolsters their defense here, as Bradley Chubb can come in and make an impact on day one.
