No. 23: Luke McCown

Luke McCown is the first of the McCown brothers to appear on this list, as his brother, Josh, had a better time as the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback. He was drafted by the Browns in the fourth round of the 2004 draft out of Louisiana Tech. He was a career backup, playing 10 seasons in the NFL, only starting 10 games.

Four of those 10 games were with the Browns during his rookie season. He would end up going winless over those games, losing to the the 11-1 Patriots, 7-6 Bills, 11-3 Chargers, and the 4-11 Dolphins.

Luke McCown’s rookie season wound up being his only season with the Browns, finishing with four scores and seven picks while completing just 49 percent of his passes for 608 yards.

The Buccaneers traded for Luke McCown before the 2005 NFL draft.

No. 22: Austin Davis

Austin Davis was an undrafted free agent out of Southern Mississippi. After a decent stint as the starting quarterback for the Rams, he signed with the Cleveland Browns in September of 2015.

However, Davis was never really signed to the Browns to be the starter — like many on this list. Johnny Manziel was in the second year of his career and seemed like the Browns future. Davis would only get to start two games for Cleveland and lost both.

These were a 37-3 loss to a then 10-2 Bengals and a 28-12 loss to a 10-6 Steelers team. Davis was 25-of-38 for 230 yards and an interception in the loss to the Bengals, and 24-of-46 for 240 yards and 2 more picks against the Steelers.

Davis would later be released in August of 2016.
