Week 5 at home against the Baltimore Ravens

Last season the Baltimore Ravens really started showing cracks. Yes, they finished with a respectable 9-7 mark and could have been in the post season had they gotten a few more breaks. They just weren’t very impressive for the most part, especially on offense.

Heading into 2018, there’s little reason to think that will change. They did add a couple rookie tight ends in Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews and a decent receiving threat in Michael Crabtree, but that’s not enough to make their offense suddenly potent. Especially with Joe Flacco still playing quarterback.

To the Ravens credit, they know Flacco is on the decline. That’s why they made the move to get Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. He has a shot to be the future of the franchise and that means Flacco knows his leash is short.

With that pressure on him, look for an already shaky Flacco to completely fall apart in 2018. Yes, he’s been cool in the past no matter what goes on around him, but he’s never had to deal with the team questioning him as the leader. They officially did that with the Jackson move and Flacco will struggle.

That’s music to the Browns’ ears as they rack up a second win against an AFC North rival here. This could be a great start to their 2018 season.
