Cleveland Browns: Players to watch during training camp
By Dan Justik
Antonio Callaway
A fourth-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, Antonio Callaway is going to have opportunities to make an impact in the Browns offense during training camp. With the uncertainty surrounding Josh Gordon, Callaway may even get some first-team reps.
Similar to Brantley, Callaway had early round talent but questions off the field hurt his stock. Callaway missed all of last season due to a myriad of off-field issues, but the Browns still took a chance on the wide receiver.
The last season that Callaway played was in 2016. He played in 12 games, recording 54 receptions for 721 yards and three touchdowns. He also has experience as a returner, returning two punts and one kickoff for touchdowns in his career at Florida.
Callaway will have to prove that he does not have that much rust after not playing a game last season. He will be competing with Corey Coleman for the third receiver spot on the depth chart. With how much of a disappointment Coleman has been since being drafted by the Browns, Callaway has a good chance to win that spot.
On the field, Callaway has all of the abilities a team would want from a dynamic wide receiver. He has great speed and agility and has strong hands to make tough catches. If he has little rust, he has a great chance of earning a large role during this training camp.
