3. Terrance Mitchell, Cornerback

A lot has been made about the Cleveland Browns revamped secondary. The big names being tossed around are E.J. Gaines, Denzel Ward, and T.J. Carrie. But there’s another guy who isn’t getting the love he deserves, Terrance Mitchell.

Originally a seventh-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys out of Oregon back in 2014, Mithcell has bounced around the league and for some reason can’t stick with anyone. He plays physical defense and will get hit with penalties for it from time-to-time, but he’s also snatched five career picks while playing limited snaps.

So far, with the Browns, he’s turning heads. Mitchell is getting his hands on passes and was one of the five standouts according to the team’s official website for his play to this point.

"“Mitchell has continued that momentum in Cleveland, putting together a solid camp showing thus far. On Friday, he intercepted a pass from Tyrod Taylor intended for rookie receiver Antonio Callaway. Mitchell is competing with Ward, Carrie, veteran E.J. Gaines, Mike Jordan and rookie Simeon Thomas for a spot in the team’s overhauled secondary.” — ClevelandBrowns.com"

Mitchell should find himself on the field a lot for the Browns in 2018, even though his name isn’t heard as much as it should be. He’s the kind of feisty player defenses need to be a complete unit.
