Offensive player I’m most excited to see: Nick Chubb
On offense, I’m most excited for Nick Chubb. Built like a stud, can hit you with both a speed and power game, with an incredible work ethic to boot. Chubb has all the makings of a star running back, and even if he, Carlos Hyde, and Duke Johnson work mainly as a trio this season, don’t be surprised if Chubb is the preseason’s breakout star.
Don’t be surprised when he grabs the starting role and becomes the featured back. Don’t be surprised when Nick Chubb is in the offensive rookie of the year conversation.
Defensive player I’m most excited to see: Denzel Ward
On the defensive side of the ball, rookie cornerback Denzel Ward is the one to watch for me. During his career at Ohio State, Ward showed blazing speed and incredible playmaking ability which made him one of the most exciting players in all of college football.
Not only that, but his athleticism and speed were enough to overcome his slight build and make his way into the top five of the NFL Draft. If that’s not scary athleticism, then you’ll be hard-pressed to find something that actually is.
