Secondary (10): Denzel Ward, Terrance Mitchell, T.J. Carrie, E.J. Gaines, Denzel Rice, Jeremiah McKinnon, Jabrill Peppers, Damarious Randall, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, Derrick Kindred

There’s not a lot here that looks out of the ordinary. Maybe they’re a bit deeper than expected as both Denzel Rice and Jeremiah McKinnon seemed like they wouldn’t make the team.

Of course, with Cleveland owning the top waiver priority this team isn’t final and this feels like an area where they can cut someone.

Linebackers (6): Christian Kirksey, Jamie Collins, Joe Schobert, Genard Avery, James Burgess, Jermaine Grace

Mychal Kendricks getting into trouble with the law was the only shocker here, but that happened well before final cuts. Jermaine Grace edged out B.J. Bello for the final spot. Overall this lineup is pretty stout.

Defensive linemen (9): Myles Garrett, Emmanuel Ogbah, Chris Smith, Carl Nassib, Chad Thomas, Larry Ogunjobi, Jamie Meder, Trevon Coley, Devaroe Lawrence

Defensive Nate Orchard couldn’t make the final cut as it was likely between him and Carl Nassib. Myles Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah will make this unit go. The biggest shock was, of course, the aforementioned cut of Caleb Brantley.

They picked up Devaroe Lawrence from the New Orleans Saints for a seventh-round pick in 2019. He’s a 25-year old from Auburn who they apparently liked more than Brantley.
