Cornerback Doran Grant

Since being drafted in the fourth-round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Doran Grant has struggled to find the field. He has only played in three games in his career, all during the 2015 season.

However, Grant was impressive during the preseason this year for the Chicago Bears. Grant made 12 tackles while also intercepting two passes, including a pick-six.

The Browns are loaded at cornerback at the top of the depth chart, but could use a player with some upside as a fifth or sixth cornerback.

Grant plays well as a press corner, which Gregg Williams will be doing often with his cornerbacks this season. Grant also showed that he has a knack for finding the football and making plays on the ball.

The Browns kept Jeremiah McKinnon and Denzel Rice after both players performed well in the preseason. Both were acquisitions this off-season and were mild surprises to make the roster. However, neither player brings the type of potential that Grant does.

At 5-foot-10 and 196 pounds, Grant has the average size of a NFL cornerback. With what he did in the preseason this year, he may get a hard look as the Browns continue to look to find talent in the secondary.
