Stud: Myles Garret, Defensive End

Once again, Myles Garrett was a beast in this one. Anyone who has watched him and Raiders tackle Kolton Miller play had to know Garrett was in for a big game. He didn’t disappoint with nine tackles — seven of which were solo — and a half-sack.

He was also robbed of an even bigger day. When he and Genard Avery hit Carr for a sack, Garrett forced the ball out on what was a clear fumble, which was scooped up by Larry Ogunjobi. That wasn’t meant to be either as the refs blew the play dead.

Apparently, they say he was in the grasp, but that was rather bogus. It was clearly a strip sack and came back to haunt the Browns.

An honorable mention on defense goes to T.J. Carrie, who showed out with 12 tackles against his former team.

Dud: The coverage team vs. Tight Ends

The Browns have historically been bad at covering tight ends and Sunday was one of the worst performances in that regard. They let Jared Cook carve them up for 110 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions. He even caught what proved to be the game-tying touchdown thanks to the following two-point conversion.

Even Lee Smith got in on the action as Cook’s backup had 23 yards on three receptions. It was hard to watch and you have to wonder what can be done to address this issue going forward.
