Stud: Denzel Ward, Cornerback

It was a great week once again for rookie cornerback Denzel Ward. The No. 4 overall pick out of Ohio State took points off the board two times in their most recent win. First, he picked off Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco near the goal line which took away at least a field goal — and possibly a touchdown.

Later, he took another three points as he got in and blocked a Justin Tucker field goal try. That happened to be the first miss for Tucker in Cleveland. He was previously 13-of-13 before Ward made that block.

Ward could be in line for another NFL Rookie of the Week award. He earned it in Week 1 when he had two interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his second game against an AFC North foe, he could once again win the distinction.

Dud: Chris Hubbard, Offensive Tackle

The entire team really had issues with penalties today and more than one ended up being on right tackle Chris Hubbard. He also surrendered severalpressure in this one — although he wasn’t alone as Desmond Harrison had his struggles in this area as well.

Baker Mayfield had to make a lot of plays after dodging defenders and even had a few big scrambles. While that worked on Sunday, it isn’t ideal going forward. The Browns expect more out of Hubbard and he needs to deliver.
