Game: Kansas City Chiefs (7-1) at Cleveland Browns (2-5-1)

Many Cleveland Browns fans were happy to see head coach Hue Jackson relieved of his duties. While no one appreciates the constant turnover, his poor leadership skills were taking a toll. The problem with Jackson was his constant finger pointing. That and he seemed to be on a constant mission to survive another day — at any cost.

True leaders don’t do that. They take the blame and then do what they can to get things fixed. They also take input from those around them, whereas Jackson shut them down — i.e. the conversation between Hue and also fired Todd Haley on ‘Hard Knocks.’

With that all behind us, we look ahead to the Week 9 contest. The Browns will host the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes, who once shared a locker room with Baker Mayfield while the two were both at Texas Tech. Then, they also battled one another on the field, including an insane battle that’s talked about to this day for its incredible passing output.

Unfortunately, Cleveland likely won’t be filling the stat sheets like Baker and his Sooners did when they played Texas Tech a couple years back. They just don’t have the playmakers around him yet. Kansas City does have the weapons around Mahomes though.

Still, this team will be more disciplined without Jackson. Problem is, their offense will be trying to find a rhythm against one of the best teams with a brand new coordinator.

Final Score: Kansas City 38, Cleveland 20
