Cleveland Browns vs. Chiefs: Can the new staff upset Kansas City?

Well, it’s been quite a week Browns fans.
On Monday, Hue Jackson was relieved of his duties as Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns. About an hour later, Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley was shown the door as well. Later in the day, Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams was named interim Head Coach.
As if that wasn’t enough of a distraction, Hue Jackson has not gone quietly into that good night. Instead, he’s been telling anyone who will listen how the team would be better if only he had a chance to run the offense… we’ll just leave that there.
And somehow, some way the Browns have to get ready to welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to First Energy Stadium on Sunday. The Chiefs are the best team in the AFC, and by the end of the season may be the best in the NFL. They will bring an offense that has an embarrassment of riches for a quarterback in Patrick Mahomes who knows how to use every single one of them.
This will be a massive challenge for a team that has dealt with many of them this season. One good thing is that wide receiver Rashard Higgins may be returning to the lineup after missing time with a strained MCL.
Unfortunately, Higgins will not be enough, as the Browns will have their hands full with this high-powered offense. I expect the Browns to start the game with a lot of energy and emotion. They may even get out to a surprise lead. But in the end, or maybe sometime in the third quarter, the Chiefs will take control of this game. A spirited effort, but not enough.
