Stud: Baker Mayfield

Both of the Browns rookies on the offensive side of the ball had big games, as Mayfield was lights out from the start.

In the first half, Mayfield was distributing the ball all over the field, hitting a variety of receivers. Mayfield completed all 12 of his passes in the first half against the Falcons, going for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

The 23-year-old quarterback made one of the best plays in his short career in the first quarter on Sunday. Rolling right on play-action, Mayfield was forced to move away from two Falcons defenders bearing down on him.

As he approached the sideline, Mayfield threw a strike off his back foot into the end zone, where Rashard Higgins had broken free from his defender, and the two connected for a 28-yard touchdown.

Mayfield finished the day completing 17 of his 20 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns. He completed passes to nine different receivers on Sunday, with his leading receiver, Antonio Callaway, only going for 39 yards. Duke Johnson had the most receptions with four, including a 11-yard touchdown in the second half.

With Kitchens calling plays, Mayfield is starting to look much more confident. It is safe to say that the coaching change has benefited the rookie quarterback.
