Cleveland is once again a destination for players

It’s not just people like Bruce Arians who are interested in the Browns. They’re suddenly looking more like a destination that free agents — or potential trade targets — could be interested in. We keep hearing the talk about Odell Beckham, Jr. who spent some of the offseason working out with Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry.

More from Browns News

While he signed an extension with the Giants, many felt there was a real interest there. And that’s different from the past.

Also different was the way they were able to ink the aforementioned Landry to an extension and they also lured Mychal Kendricks to town despite there being interest from the Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings.

Of course, Kendricks didn’t work out as he was released following an insider trading charge, but he was still a big fish free agent that believed in what was happening with the Browns.

Looking ahead to 2019, that’s encouraging. Cleveland will again be the team with the most to spend in free agency and thanks to what Dorsey has built, there’s a real chance they can land someone who will be an impactful player. That’s an incredibly encouraging change for Browns fans and we should be very thankful for this.
