Cleveland Browns road map for unlikely, but possible, playoff run
By Mitch Zoloty
The Bengals Schedule
The Browns play the Bengals twice, and in this scenario would beat them twice. This means that the Bengals could go 3-1 in games outside the Browns and still not beat the Browns out for the playoff spot. If the Browns are able to win both of these games against the Bengals, then the Bengals can become an asset to the Browns.

The Bengals still have to play the Browns twice, the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, and the Steelers. The Steelers and Chargers have both been on a roll this season.
The Steelers are the projected two seed and the Chargers have a two-game lead for the fifth seed. The Bengals have both of these games on the road, so it is extremely likely that they lose one of these games. A loss in one of these games knocks them out of the playoffs in this scenario.
The Bengals do play the Broncos at home, another team in the running for the last playoff spot. If the Bengals are able to beat the Broncos, and the Browns beat them, they are knocked out of the playoffs in this scenario, so the division rival could prove to be a great ally for the Browns.
The Ravens Schedule
The Ravens are the Browns Week 17 matchup. The game will be held in Baltimore and is the Browns most unlikely win in this scenario. If the Browns pull this one off then the playoffs could be in store for the Browns. This would also mean that the Ravens could go 3-2 in their remaining games and still miss the playoffs.
The Ravens still have to play the Raiders, Falcons, Chiefs, Buccaneers, Chargers, and Browns. The games against the Chiefs and Chargers will be in Kansas City and Los Angeles, so are most likely losses for the Ravens. As long as the Browns beat the Ravens and the Ravens can’t pull the upset against the Chiefs or the Chargers, then the Ravens would be knocked out of the playoffs.
The Falcons game could also be a loss for the Ravens as they are still a playoff experienced team and the game will be in Atlanta. The Ravens have the Buccaneers and Raiders at home and should be heavily favored in those games.
As long as the Browns beat the Ravens and the Ravens don’t win more than one of their three games on the road against the Falcons, Chiefs, and Chargers, the Browns should knock the Ravens out of the playoffs.
