1. Baker Mayfield, Duke Johnson go for the hat trick

After the offensive play caller changed from Todd Haley to Freddie Kitchens, Duke Johnson started to see some actual playing time. And that also let us all see why it was so frustrating that the team would leave Johnson watching the game while Haley and Hue Jackson were in charge.

In Duke’s first game under Kitchens, he had nine receptions on nine targets and finished with 78 yards and two touchdowns. He did get one carry for eight yards, but Johnson is most dangerous as a receiver.

He followed up his best game of the season with another 31 yards after catching all four of his targets. Most importantly, he crossed the goal line once again, making it three touchdowns in two games after not crossing the goal line during their first eight games.

He’s provided Baker Mayfield a great option out of the backfield. He’s great in running routes and he’s a check-down option that can make things happen near the goal line.

Cincinnati has struggled to stop running backs and Johnson can take advantage of that both on the ground and through the air. In this one, our final bold prediction is that Mayfield and Johnson once again connect for a score, making it three games in a row that the duo combines for a touchdown.
