It wasn’t Hue’s fault, just ask him

Let’s also not forget that not everything was peachy when Hue Jackson was coach. Mr. Woody, I assume you are aware that Hue Jackson went 3-36-1 for the Browns. Don’t you think people might be just a litlle upset by that? Including players? And including the leader of the team?? Let’s also talk about the play calling.

In addition to the losses, Jackson and Todd Haley arguably ran a style of offense that generated 20 sacks for the other team. That was Mr. Mayfield’s body underneath those piles of 300 pound guys. Since Hue left, the Browns have given up only two sacks total.

If the coaching staff is trying to get you killed, and they were, I can imagine that the quarterback in question might not miss them when they get fired. Maybe it’s just not going to be a nice warm huggable feeling for the former coach. Hue should not be faulted for wanting to be friendly, and the Browns players should not be faulted if they do not want to be friendly now.

So, if you expect that Baker Mayfield and the Browns are going to be nice and respectful and give handshakes and hugs to the opposition, sorry to disappoint you. This Browns team isn’t going to play that way.

They are tired of losing, tired of seeing their opponents celebrate. That has made them angry and mean. And yeah, they blame themselves, but they also partly blame their management that took them to 3-36-1. That’s really all you need to understand. 3-36-1. How happy do you expect the Browns players to be about that?
