1. Nick Chubb, Running Back

Lastly, we look at the man who will help the Cleveland Browns control the clock. Just as important as it will be for Cleveland to limit the Denver rushing attack, they need Nick Chubb to get rolling and help the Browns ground game keep the chains moving.

While Baker Mayfield is the leader — and will get the chunk yardage like he did last week — staying ahead of the chains is key. When Chubb is running well, defenses don’t know what to expect. They have to be prepared for everything and that’s when Mayfield and the rest of the offense can be dangerous.

Not only that, but running the ball well keeps the clock running and can be huge when nursing a lead. Every time someone like Chub can convert a third-and-short, it’s deflating to a team and helps your own defense rest just a little bit longer.

So far this season, Chubb has been electric with 760 yards on 144 carries. He’s averaging 5.3 yards per rush and has crossed the goal line eight times. He’s also put up a long of 92-yards, which set the record for the longest run in Cleveland history.

Even if the Browns are unable to win the AFC North, or make the playoffs, this season feels like a huge step in the right direction. One more win over a respected team in Week 15 will only further affirm that belief. If they are to get that win, these three players will be vital.
