Conclusion

The Cleveland Browns have been a tortured franchise since returning to the NFL back in 1999. One of the reasons for that has been the quarterback position.

Not only has it been a revolving door filled with poor play, but there have been some maddening circumstances — for example, how many teams can have three quarterbacks get high ankle sprains in the same year – THREE!).

However, in the midst of one-and-done starters like Connor Shaw and Spergon Wynn, there have been stirring moments where the Browns have treated fans to some impressive quarterback play. We’re hungry for more and we hope to add Baker Mayfield to this list very soon. In fact, we hope he eventually occupies all five of the top performances by the time his career is done.

As for the games we just recapped, these five performances are not necessarily the best statistical performances. They are performances that stand out for different reasons and they are open to debate and discussion.
