Antoine Wesley, Texas Tech

Antoine Wesley quickly became this seasons top rated Red Raider receiver. Texas Tech is known for having productive, athletic receivers every year and Wesley came in and had a career year as a junior.

Wesley finished off as one of the top receivers in the nation with 88 catches, 1,410 yards, and nine touchdowns. While not the fastest receiver, he’s got good off the snap quickness and wins the majority of 50-50 balls.

A tall (6-foot-5) possession receiver who rarely drops passes who would give great depth to the Browns receiving corps. Especially with a gunslinger like Baker Mayfield. It would be nice for him to know he’s got a tall target who’s made a living winning jump passes in the Big 12.

My biggest knock on Wesley is his frame. Yes he’s tall but he’s listed at just 200-pounds and you can see from his slight frame. He’ll need to put on some weight by the time the draft comes around, otherwise, that could hurt his draft stock.

Andy Isabella, UMASS

The only receiver in the country who was more productive than Antoine Wesley was 5-10, 190-pounds. Andy Isabella from UMASS. The Biletnikoff Award finalist finished his senior season with a ridiculous 101 catches, 1,697 yards, and 13 touchdowns. All of this while primarily playing from the slot.

Isabella is one of my favorite products this year. He’s got some of the best hands and route running in the entire draft. He can run the simple slot routes but has also shown the ability to be a deep burner as well, similar to what the Browns have in Antonio Callaway. Good luck keeping up with them.

I’m much higher on Andy Isabella than many scouts will be, but I also don’t care about if a player is smaller. This young man can seriously play and even though he will likely fall in the draft, the Browns would be crazy not to bring him on.
