The single-season franchise sack record

Myles Garrett has been an absolute beast this season off of the edge. With 12.5 sacks and 28 quarterback hits, he has been nothing short of elite as a defensive end. With 1.5 sacks against the Ravens Myles could tie Reggie Camp for the single-season record for most sacks by a Browns player in a season.

Last time around he had half a sack against the Ravens. If he repeats that performance he would tie Jamir Miller with 13 sacks as 2nd all-time in a single season by a Browns defender. 1.5 sacks against a very talented offensive tackle like Ronnie Stanley is very unlikely. However, there aren’t many defenders in the NFL who would have better odds of accomplishing this feat than Myles.

This week will be a tough test for the Browns. A win here should solidify Gregg Williams as the teams head coach for years to come. A win would also show the rest of the division that the Browns are here to be a force to be reckoned with. The Steelers and the Bengals have impending rebuilds in the next few seasons. Unless Big Ben can best father time, the Steelers will be at the bottom of the division if they do not get a new franchise quarterback over the next few seasons.

The Ravens will be the Browns biggest rival over the next decade. There is no better way for the Browns to start this new chapter of AFC North football off right than to sweep the Ravens and the Bengals in the same season.
