Joe Schobert

Joe Schobert may finally receive the credit he has deserved the past two seasons if he signs an extension over the off-season. Schobert has been one of the best linebackers in the entire league, but he has also been one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL.

Schobert was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he spent his first season as an outside linebacker and edge rusher. He did not put up much production in his rookie season, but was then moved to inside linebacker that following off-season.

That was one of the best moves that the Browns have made in the past couple of seasons, as Schobert led the league in tackles his first year playing inside linebacker. He was named to the Pro Bowl following the 2017 season.

Schobert had another solid year in 2018, making 103 total tackles, three tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, six quarterback hits, and one interception in 13 games.

Gregg Williams and Blake Williams have credited Schobert for being the brains of the defense on the field. Schobert is a play-maker on the field and helps setup the defense before the play. He is arguably the most valuable member of the Browns defense, and he must get an extension at some point.
