9. Brady Quinn

The one that many thought would become the franchise quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. The Ohio native and childhood Browns fan out of Notre Dame was taken in the first round of the 2007 draft after he fell to the 22nd spot and the Browns traded back into the first round to nab Brady Quinn.

Quinn’s fortune was not as anyone had hoped as he tallied only 12 starts in a Browns uniform before being traded for one-year wonder Peyton Hillis in 2009. He finished with a 3-9 record, throwing ten touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 52 percent of his passes.

Quinn went on to become the backup for Denver for two seasons before being given the chance to start again for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012. He then went on to have short stays in Seattle, New York (Jets), St. Louis, and Miami before retiring from the NFL.

8. Jeff Garcia

In 2004, the Cleveland Browns found themselves in need of another bridge quarterback, this time signing 34-year-old Jeff Garcia to a one-year, $5.5m contract.

Garcia started ten games during the 2004 campaign and finished with a 3-7 record. He threw a total of ten touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 57 percent of his passes.

The signal-caller went on to play for five more seasons, starting 35 more games. After he left Cleveland, Garcia played one year in Detroit, two in Philadelphia, and two in Tampa Bay. He retired after the 2009 season.
