Round 3: Blace Brown, CB, Troy

John Dorsey overhauled much of the Cleveland Browns roster last season, and hardly any unit saw the kind of change the secondary did. Jabrill Peppers was the only returning starter and the entire cornerback room changed out — with Briean Boddy-Calhoun being the only exception.

There’s still room for improvement in this area, which is why the Browns use their first of two picks in the third round on Troy’s Blace Brown. Listed at 6-foot and 184-pounds, Brown hasn’t gotten the attention he deserves due to playing in the Sun Belt Conference. That ends up being a good thing for Cleveland as they land a stud here.

Round 3, Pick 2 (via New England): Michael Deiter, OL, Wisconsin

The second pick for the Browns in the third round comes courtesy of the New England Patriots. Acquired in the Danny Shelton trade, the Browns use this pick to get some depth on the offensive line with Michael Deiter. A 6-foot-6. 321-pound lineman, Deiter has played every position on the Wisconsin line and boasts an incredible football IQ. He could develop into a starting tackle early for Cleveland.

Round 4: Dakota Allen, LB, Texas Tech

The Browns need some depth at linebacker and they address that here with the selection of Dakota Allen. The Texas Tech senior always brings the heat when he tackles and finished his career with 249 tackles and four picks — while playing just three seasons for the Red Raiders.
