Round 5, Pick 6: Khalil Hodge, LB, Buffalo

With a Pro Bowler taking over the middle linebacker spot for the Browns in Joe Schobert, linebacker, on the surface, does not appear to be a need. However, with the inevitable parting of ways between the team and linebacker Jamie Collins Sr. and Christian Kirksey looking like a shell of himself and coming off of an injury, linebacker will be addressed this offseason, possibly in multiple ways.

Although it is more likely the linebacker position is addressed through free agency or the trade market due to a week linebacker draft class and the top three prospects in Devin White, Devin Bush, and Mack Wilson likely to come off the board in the first 45 picks, Cleveland may look to add depth late in the draft as well. Khalil Hodge out of Buffalo certainly fits the bill of what Cleveland will be looking for as well.

The three-year starter tallied over 100 tackles in every season with the team and weighs in at a stout 235-pounds as well. If he can prove that he has the speed to burn at that size as well, he will become very appealing to teams in the middle of the draft. Look for Cleveland to address the linebacker position in mid to late rounds, and Hodge certainly is appealing for the team.
