2. Damien Wilson, LB, Dallas Cowboys

After playing for Jones County Community College in Mississippi, Damien Wilson transferred to Minnesota for his final two seasons of college football. He recorded 186 tackles and five sacks in that time, which was enough to get him selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

Since then, Wilson has worked his way into the lineup as the primary SAM linebacker for the Cowboys. In that role, he’s proven to be a reliable tackler but gets very little attention given the fact that he’s shared the field with players such as Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith, and Leighton Vander Esch. While they get the credit, Wilson was no slouch and had his best season in 2018 when he was credited with a career-high 37 tackles and added a sack and one forced fumble.

As for the Browns, they could use some help at linebacker, even if just for depth purposes. In 2018, Cleveland started Joe Schobert, Christian Kirksey, and Jamie Collins and all three played well. However, injuries caused problems as Kirksey missed nine games and Schobert missed three.

Adding someone like Wilson would make sense considering his starting experience. He could also push for a starting spot of his own, and competition like that is never a bad thing.
