5. Mohamed Sanu, Atlanta Falcons

A player who could find himself on the trading block this offseason is veteran wideout Mohamed Sanu. He was originally drafted in the third round by the Cincinnati Bengals where he played for four seasons. Being in the AFC North that long gave the Browns an up-close look at the 6-foot-2 receiver.

When watching Sanu play, the first thing that stands out is his toughness. He plays hard and will make contested catches. He’s an underrated player who excels on third-down grabs. On top of all the good things you can say about his play, Sanu is coming off what was arguably his best season.

The 29-year old had a career-high 838 yards off 66 receptions. He also had a great catch rate of more than 70 percent. While all this is true, the Falcons are going to be needing some cap space soon.

They need to do a new deal for Julio Jones in the future and some of their big stars on defense will need contracts as well — this is without mentioning they will need to try and retain Grady Jarrett, who won’t be cheap.

Sanu currently has a cap rate of $7.65 million according to Over The Cap and the Falcons could stand to shed that. They also would still be able to function with Jones and their 2018 first-round pick Calvin Ridley on staff. At the very least, the Browns need to give them a call about Sanu.

He would give them a strong veteran presence, and like Landry, he’s dangerous on trick plays as he’s an excellent passer. In his career, Sanu is 7-of-8 for 233 yards and four touchdowns.
