1. Sheldon Richardson, Minnesota Vikings

Lastly, we have Sheldon Richardson who spent the 2018 season with the Minnesota Vikings. Just like the first two players mentioned, Richardson is a former first-round pick who has a ton of talent which makes him an ideal target for the Browns as they aim to beef up their defensive line.

Richardson’s talent is no secret either as he comes in at No. 9 overall in the NFL.com top 101 Free Agent ranking. While his skill set has him high, the duo that worked on the ranking point out the fact that Richardson has had issues in recent seasons as he’s played for multiple teams.

"“Rent-a-hulk. In  large part due to character concerns, Richardson has been unable to land a long-term deal the past two offseasons. His value should be on the rise after a bounce-back year in Minnesota.”  — Gregg Rosenthal and Chris Wesseling , NFL.com"

A Pro Bowl player in 2014 with the New York Jets, Richardson joined Minnesota after one season in Seattle with the Seahawks. He did have a career resurgence with the Vikings as he was credited with 49 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Richardson is also a complete player who can hold his own in the run game as well as the passing game. Landing a player of this caliber would turn the Browns front four into one of the hardest units in the NFL to attempt to block.
