6th Round

2013: Eric Kush, Offensive Lineman

Despite being a sixth-round pick, Eric Kush has managed to carve out a solid career in the NFL. Although he has never emerged as a reliable starter, Kush has proven to be a good backup who can play the interior of the offensive line. He played only two seasons with the Chiefs, but was reunited with Dorsey in Cleveland this offseason. In his career, Kush has played 33 career games, including 12 starts.

2013: Braden Wilson, Fullback

Dorsey may have spent a sixth-round selection on a fullback, but Braden Wilson never played a down for the Chiefs or the rest of NFL. He was cut only months after being drafted.

2014: Zach Fulton, Guard

Zach Fulton has been a successful selection by Dorsey and provided great value for being a sixth-round pick. He spent four seasons in Kansas City and played 63 games, including 46 starts. He also started every game for the Chiefs during his rookie season. His success in Kansas City helped him land a four-year, $28 million deal with the Texans last offseason. He started 13 games for Houston in 2018.

2014: Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Offensive Lineman

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is another offensive linemen Dorsey drafted in the sixth-round who has had success in the NFL. He did not play during his rookie season, but played in 16 games the next season, including 13 starts. In five seasons with the Chiefs, Duvernay-Tardif has played in 46 games, starting in 43.

2015: Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Defensive Tackle

Rakeem Nunez-Roches has had mild success during his four-year career in the NFL, mostly in 2016 and 2017. Most of the snaps during his career were during those two seasons, playing in a total of 27 games, including 16 starts. He compiled 47 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and five tackles for loss. He was waived by the Chiefs last offseason, and played three games for Tampa Bay in 2018, making two tackles.

2016: D.J. White, Cornerback

D.J. White did not have a long career in the NFL, playing in 13 games in two seasons. He played 11 games for Kansas City in 2016, making 11 total tackles, one interception, and three passes defensed. He was cut before the start of the 2017 season and was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts. He played in three games for the Colts, making three total tackles. He was on the Colts practice squad last season, but was removed in September.

2016: Dadi Nicolas, Linebacker

Dadi Nicolas played only one season in the NFL, playing in 11 games for the Chiefs in 2016 but did not register a tackle. He was put on the Physically Unable to Perform list in 2017 and was cut by the Chiefs last offseason. He was signed by both the Seahawks and Redskins last season, but did not make either team’s final roster.

2017: Leon McQuay III, Safety

Leon McQuay has made himself familiar with Kansas City’s practice squad as he has spent most of his two-year career in that capacity. He played and started in one game in 2017, making four total tackles.

2018: Damion Ratley, Wide Receiver

In his rookie season with the Browns, Damion Ratley emerged and made some key plays for the offense. He played in 13 games, including three starts, and made 13 receptions for 144 yards. However, he struggled to find a role in the offense towards the end of the regular season.

2018: Simeon Thomas, Cornerback

Simeon Thomas did not spend much time in Cleveland as he was cut four months after being drafted. He was claimed by Seattle and spent most of 2018 on the team’s practice squad.
