Last, but certainly not least, is cornerback Greedy Williams. Considered the No. 1 cornerback in the draft by a number of draft analysts, it seems more than a bit surprising that the LSU product didn’t have his name called in the first 32 picks. And it seems like he still won’t when the draft kicks off as reports suggest that the Arizona Cardinals plan to select another corner,  Byron Murphy out of Washington.

If this holds true and Murphy does come off the board, it makes it even less likely that Williams lasts until the 49th pick. That means if the Browns are interested in adding him, they will need to make a move.

It would be hard to blame them for doing so, as Williams is not only a top prospect in the draft, but he would fill arguably the biggest need Cleveland has. It’s hard to debate that cornerback is the position they must address more than any other.

Currently, Denzel Ward is starting on one side and he’s fresh off a great rookie campaign that landed him in the Pro Bowl. Starting opposite him would be either T.J. Carrie or Terrance Mitchell, although both seem better fit as a third corner than full-time starters. Adding Williams allows those two to fight for the nickel spot, further strengthening this team.

Of course, there is a reason Williams wasn’t drafted on Day 1. As good as he is in coverage, there are concerns with his tackling. He’s also been guilty of playing sloppy at times.

Next. 3 veterans Browns should consider trading for. dark

Even with those flaws, Greedy is a legitimate starting cornerback in the NFL and would give the Browns an incredibly talented starting duo when paired with Ward.
