1. Antonio Callaway, WR

This year, the Browns offense looks explosive on paper. They already had Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Jarvis Landry, and David Njoku. Then, they went out added Kareem Hunt — who will miss eight games due to a suspension — and Odell Beckham, Jr.

The addition of OBJ has fans salivating at the prospect of defenses struggling to stop him and Landry as the two best friends, and former LSU teammates, have been reunited. While there’s no doubt it will be fun to see these two back together, there’s another wideout who could break out as a star in 2019.

Antonio Callaway was a player who had his fair share of off-field trouble while at the University of Florida. He was accused, but later cleared, of sexual assault but was suspended the entire 2017 season as the case was heard. He then tested positive for marijuana at the Scouting Combine which led to him falling to the fourth round despite having talent that suggested he should go much higher.

Trouble found him again in the pros as Callaway was cited for speeding and marijuana possession during training camp. This was played out on ‘Hard Knocks‘ but it seemed he was telling the truth that the drugs were not his — he had just had his car shipped to him from Florida — as the league never issued a suspension.

On the field, he had some brilliant plays and finished with 43 receptions for 586 yards and five touchdowns. Callaway came down with a brilliant fourth-down touchdown catch against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 and made several clutch third-down plays as well throughout the season.

His talent is undeniable and a quiet offseason suggests he has put his issues behind him and has focused on football. That could lead to him becoming a highlight reel waiting to happen as he tops our list of potential breakout stars in 2019.
