The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news, including Odell Beckham, Jr. deciding to go ‘off the grid’ ahead of training camp

Recently Odell Beckham, Jr. said that he felt he was the most scrutinized player in the NFL. Hopefully, his latest move won’t lead to more scrutinization, but as we have already seen in his short Cleveland Browns tenure, he does get his every move picked apart.

With the Browns quickly approaching training camp, OBJ has decided to go ‘off the grid’ for the next two weeks to really focus on the upcoming season. Really, this shows his dedication to becoming great, but we have to wonder if some may try and see this as a negative.

That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Odell Beckham Jr. going off the grid to ‘lock in’ on his training for the next two weeks — Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“Going away till July 1st for trainin,’’ Beckham Jr. posted on his Instagram story Wednesday. He also posted it as a photo, but deleted it.“Don’t hit me, unless it’s beyond urgent. Preciate the love always. Time to lock in!! #BootCamp see y’all soooon.’’"

Beckham has often trained on his own and shows up ready to go when it’s time. That’s going to be the case again as he’s getting ready for the long grind of a 16-game — and hopefully more — campaign.

Jarvis Landry explains how chemistry came quickly with Baker Mayfield in detailed film breakdown — Andrew Gribble, ClevelandBrowns.com

"“He’s a gamer,” Landry said. “He finds ways in games to make throws he doesn’t practice. He’ll get in the huddle sometimes and he’ll call the play and be like, ‘do that thing.’“When he sees you making those tough catches and putting your body on the line, I think the trust only gets better from that point.”"

While there was a lot about Baker Mayfield to like, the way he connected with his teammates may have been No. 1 on the list and Landry explains a bit why it was so easy for that to happen in this piece.

Drew Forbes getting comfortable on the interior of the line: Browns quick hits — Dan Labbe, Cleveland.com

"“The sixth-round pick played left tackle at Southeast Missouri State, but most projections had him moving inside. GM John Dorsey’s M.O. with the Browns so far with players like Forbes and last year’s No. 33 overall pick, Austin Corbett, has been to try them outside first and then move them inside.”"

The right guard position is anything but settled entering the season, so someone like Drew Forbes could get himself into the mix should he continue to impress in practices and workouts.

How the Cleveland Browns 2019 schedule favors a division title

The Browns play the majority of their AFC North games after Week 8 this season. While that could be tough, John Hillberry believes it could help them capture their division — as long as they can take advantage.
