2. Rashard Higgins, Wide Receiver

Cleveland is absolutely stacked in their receiving corps this season. Even with Hue Jackson and Todd Haley feuding about how to run an offense for the first eight games of the season, their two starting quarterbacks threw for 4,198 yards through the air. Wideout Jarvis Landry had another 63 yards passing as well thanks to the beautiful dime he threw to Breshad Perriman in Week 15 against Cincinnati.

As good as this corps did last season they now are expected to be even better thanks to the addition of Odell Beckham, Jr. One of the best playmakers in the NFL, OBJ joins Landry, Rashard Higgins, Antonio Callaway, and David Njoku in an impressive cast of pass-catchers.

Everyone in that group is locked up beyond 2019 with the exception of Higgins. While his name might not be the most recognizable of the group — outside of Cleveland that is — Higgins is a valuable member of the team.

It was evident that quarterback Baker Mayfield trusted Higgins as he was often thrown to in tight coverage and usually delivered. One example was his 28-yard touchdown grab in their Week 10 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

A former fifth-round pick out of Colorado State, Higgins has made huge strides as a route runner and has learned how to attack the ball when it’s in the air. He’s arguably the best outside receiver on the team not named Odell Beckham and should be one of the players they try to keep around for several more years.
