1. Jarvis Landry, Wide Receiver

With so much talk about what Odell Beckham brings to the table for the Cleveland Browns, it’s easy to forget they added another big name in 2018 when they traded for Jarvis Landry from the Miami Dolphins. OBJ’s former LSU teammate had some good plays in his first season with the Browns but hopes to do more, especially now that he has his good friend helping to take defenders away from him.

One of the things fans are most excited about with OBJ is his knack for making highlight-reel grabs. Beckham was constantly pulling the ball in with just one hand, but during camp, he hasn’t been alone in making circus catches. Landry has also been making his share of sick receptions, including a one-hander during their session on Wednesday, July 31.

He then made another great play the following day as he pulled in a pass despite blanket coverage from safety Damarious Randall. If that wasn’t enough, he showed unreal concentration as he stayed with the ball even though it hit Randall’s helmet before he was able to make the play.

The talk of these two being the best receiving duo in the NFL makes sense. Both are solid route runners and they compliment each other well. Landry is at his best working the mid-range and underneath routes. OBJ can do it all but really excels when attacking teams downfield.

So far, we have yet to see if they will be the most dominant group, but in practice, they have yet to disappoint, although Landry has been the most exciting to this point — and that’s a good thing to see.
