1. Rashard Higgins, Wide Receiver

Again, we have a wide receiver on the list as Cleveland’s top pass-catcher from Thursday Night stood out in an incredibly positive way. Rashard Higgins was also on the field right away with Jarvis Landry and OBJ watching from the sidelines and he brought in one of the best catches of the night.

With the Browns moving right down the field, Higgins ended up capping off the drive by hauling in a bullet from Baker Mayfield which resulted in a 24-yard touchdown reception. That wasn’t the end of his night though as Higgins continued to play with the reserves for the majority of the first half.

He finished the night by pulling in five of the six targets that came his way for 98 yards and a touchdown. He nearly came up with a second touchdown as well as he took a pass from Drew Stanton and made a move before taking off for 38-yards.

At the end of the play, Higgins tried to get into the end zone but was taken down at the Washington two-yard line. The Browns were unable to cap off that drive as Dontrell Hilliard fumbled on fourth-down, but Higgins put them in position for more points with his great play.

After the game, it was revealed that Antonio Callaway would be suspended for the first four games of the season. Coupling that news with the great performance Higgins had makes it seem as though he put himself in the perfect position to be the No. 3 receiver this year.
