Cornerback (5): Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams, Terrance Mitchell, T.J. Carrie, Donnie Lewis, Jr.

2018 Pro Bowl selection Denzel Ward had quite the rookie year, and it all started off with a two-interception performance in his debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers — a game that saw him match up against Antonio Brown. From there, he continued to impress as he covered the best receivers in the game and continually held his own.

Entering the second week of the preseason, veteran Terrance Mitchell is being listed as the starter opposite Ward, and that wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen. He’s a physical player that gets under opponent’s skin and has a knack for creating turnovers. Mitchell started seven of eight games played last year but missed half the season with a wrist injury.

However, by the time the regular season begins, rookie Greedy Williams should be able to crack the starting lineup. He showed in the debut that he’s not afraid to tackle, which was the biggest knock on him entering the draft and led to the LSU product sliding into the second round of the draft.

Fourth on the list is T.J. Carrie, but he should have a big role no matter what number he is on the depth chart. As of now, he’s the best coverage corner in the slot, which makes it hard to take him off the field especially considering how often opponents employ a three-receiver set.

The final spot goes to Donnie Lewis, Jr. Cleveland needs a fifth corner and unless someone stands out, the player they spent a seventh-round pick on should be the choice.
