One of the more captivating stories of the preseason has been the presence of wide receiver and kick returner Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi. He wasn’t on any NFL team’s radar and found himself desperate to prove his worth.

So Sheehy-Guiseppi found out where an NFL tryout was being held and after sleeping outside a training facility, he made his way to the workout and said he knew Alonzo Highsmith — which he did not.

The vice president of player personnel for the Browns ended up knowing Sheehy-Guiseppi after watching him run, and he even called him in for a private workout afterward. Now fighting to make the team, Sheehy-Guiseppi had a brilliant start as he ran a punt back 86-yards for a touchdown.

He was then bombarded by teammates celebrating his accomplishment, which shows how well he is liked in Cleveland. According to Jarvis Landry, he brings an irreplaceable energy to the team.

"“The energy he brings to this team is something that you can’t really replace,” said Landry via Jake Trotter. “I’m happy he’s here. He has an opportunity and he’s taking advantage of it.”"

Having said all that, Sheehy-Guiseppi has been quiet since the first preseason game. This week, that needs to change should he want to make the team. It won’t be easy considering how raw he is, but an electric return man is always nice to have. He just needs to show he can consistently be that for them.
