Daily Dawg Tags: Cleveland Browns, Jalen Ramsey a union in the making?
By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including the Browns being highly interested in Jalen Ramsey.
The Cleveland Browns have done a lot of work to build up their secondary over the past two seasons, but they not may be done quite yet. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns are highly interested in Jalen Ramsey, who is bound to be traded in the coming days.
Cleveland has done well maintaining their draft capital over the next few seasons, which would be needed in a potential deal for Ramsey. And if they feel they are in a championship window, they could be motivated to make a deal for arguably the best cornerback in the NFL.
The Browns may have bigger needs elsewhere, but they may feel Ramsey could take the team to the next level. If they are comfortable with limiting their future, the Browns could decide to go all in with Ramsey.

Cleveland Browns News
"League sources told ESPN that the Jaguars would be looking for at least a first-round pick but would likely want more. The Browns have 2018 No. 4 overall pick Denzel Ward, a Pro Bowler as a rookie, and 2019 No. 46 pick Greedy Williams starting at cornerback."
If the Browns decide to become serious in attempting to add Ramsey, it will be interesting if they attempt to re-sign Ramsey to a new deal. Ramsey will want to be the highest paid cornerback in NFL history, and with the Browns likely to be cap-strapped in the next couple of seasons, it could play a huge role in if they decide to trade for the star cornerback.

Baker Mayfield and the Browns Are This Close to Being Excellent – Conor Orr, Sports Illustrated
"A scary thought: That 89-yard touchdown, and other explosive-type plays, could be a more common occurrence with a little discipline and some help on the offensive line. And Mayfield seems intent on doing his part. Another scary thought: Based on a second look at the Browns from Monday, they’re not far off."
Although Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense have looked far off to start the 2019 season, they are showing signs of being the dynamic offense they were expected to be. With a couple of tweaks to the offensive gameplan, the Browns could quickly emerge as the explosive offense they were expected to be.
